Working alongside experienced Underwriters and the Australian leadership team, you'll play a key role in supporting the underwriting function through accurate policy administration, client service and office coordination.
You'll work closely with brokers, clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring policy documentation is prepared accurately, underwriting records are maintained and day-to-day operations run efficiently. This role offers excellent exposure to specialist commercial marine insurance and provides a strong foundation for a long-term underwriting career.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional support to brokers, clients and internal underwriting teams
- Prepare and administer policy documentation throughout the policy lifecycle
- Support new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations and premium processing
- Maintain accurate underwriting, customer and vessel records across internal systems
- Coordinate vessel surveys and manage associated documentation
- Produce reports and management information for business stakeholders
- Ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with internal processes
- Assist with office administration, meeting coordination and day-to-day operational support
- Build strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders while delivering exceptional customer service
- Previous experience within insurance administration OR underwriting support
- Strong administration and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities - specifically with brokers & clients
- A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
- ANZIIF Tier 2 qualification or willingness to obtain (highly regarded)
- Marine insurance experience is advantageous but not essential
