Our client is an international company recognised as a specialist supplier of quality air compressors for industrial requirements or custom engineered solutions. With branches across Australia, it has built an industrial sales/distribution aftermarket business and also supplies the OEM and mining sectors.
About the role
In this “hands on” dynamic, fast paced and challenging role, you will be responsible for developing, staffing and managing the Branch making sure that all facets of managing a Branch are adhered to completely and successfully. You will also be responsible for visiting existing customers as well as developing new business opportunities. You will also be charged with building the service division as you grow the business.
Skills & experience
So that you yourself are able to make the transition smoothly, you will possess the following key attributes:
- Previous Branch management experience (ideally within the Compressor industry) or a demonstrated compressor sales or sevice management history
- The ability to coach, mentor and develop a team
- The ability to interpret technical drawings and calculations
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and time management skills
- Solid commercial acumen and a calm and blanced decision making process
- Good local industry and local market knowledge.
