About the opportunity
Morgan Consulting has partnered with a well-established fresh food producer to appoint a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager. You will sell products into grocery, wholesale, and food service, build long-term relationships, and grow revenue and market share. Food industry experience is great, not essential, attitude and sales discipline are.

What you will do
  • Identify and develop new business with distributors, restaurants, wholesalers, and grocery banners through cold calling, networking, and smart outreach
  • Manage and grow existing accounts, deliver excellent service, and increase range and volume
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Understand customer needs and tailor solutions, including cage free and free range
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms
  • Track market trends and competitor activity to spot growth opportunities
  • Work closely with production and logistics to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries
  • Maintain clean records of calls, visits, pipeline, and forecasts in the CRM
What you bring
  • Proven sales success, ideally in food, agriculture, or consumer goods
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable on the road, able to travel locally and regionally for client visits and events
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools, Zoho experience helpful
How success is measured
  • Sales volume and revenue growth
  • New account acquisition and range expansion
  • Customer satisfaction and retention
  • Accurate, on-time reporting and forecasting
