About the Role
They are seeking a Business Manager – Animal Nutrition
to drive growth within their Animal Nutrition division. This is a dynamic sales role responsible for managing and developing existing customer relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of your territory and product portfolio, proactively growing market share through strategic business development, technical support, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve agreed budgets and growth targets.
- Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across Australia and New Zealand.
- Manage and expand relationships with existing customers to increase product penetration and retention.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery, and credit terms in consultation with the Managing Director.
- Build and maintain relationships with international suppliers and principals to ensure reliable supply chains.
- Conduct market research and monitor competitor activity, providing insights and recommendations.
- Provide technical and commercial support to customers on Animal Nutrition products.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM, including customer communications and pipeline activity.
- Coordinate and support promotional activities, trade shows, and supplier visits.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including trade, safety, and product liability requirements.
Essential:
- Proven sales record within a B2B environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and identify market opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strong administrative, organisational, and time management abilities.
- Basic knowledge of international trading, finance, and Incoterms.
- Computer literacy, including CRM and Microsoft Office applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Experience within the Animal Nutrition, Feed Ingredients, or related industrial markets.
