Morgan Consulting is currently partnering with a well-established logistics organisation that services major manufacturing and industrial customers across Australia. They are seeking an experienced Customer Service & Operations Officer to provide support during a busy period, with a 3-week temporary assignment that has strong potential to transition into a permanent role.
They are also open to considering candidates who are looking for a permanent role straight away, so if you’re available now or exploring long-term options, this could be a great fit.

The opportunity in this role, you will work across customer service, logistics coordination and inventory support. Day to day you’ll:
  • Act as the main contact for customer orders, delivery updates and invoicing queries
  • Process orders accurately and manage the order lifecycle through dispatch and delivery
  • Liaise daily with 3PL providers, transport companies and internal stakeholders
  • Support the sales team with customer and stock enquiries
  • Monitor delivery status, resolve delays and update customers proactively
  • Assist with invoice checks, cost reconciliation and administration tasks
  • Support basic stock and inventory reconciliation activities
  • Identify process gaps and contribute to improvements across operations
This role offers great exposure across customer service, operations, logistics and finance, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety.

About You They are looking for someone who has:
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, transport or manufacturing (non-negotiable)
  • Strong customer service and order management skills
  • Experience working with 3PL providers or transport companies
  • Strong attention to detail, especially around pricing, orders and invoicing
  • Confidence managing customer issues and providing clear updates
  • Good systems skills (ERP/WMS experience highly regarded)
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and willingness to jump in where needed
