Role: Data & BI Engineer
Salary: $140k–$150k + Super
Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite in Melbourne

We’re looking for a proactive and highly capable Data & BI Engineer to take ownership of a key business-critical data function. In this role, you’ll be the sole Data Engineer, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and availability across the organisation.

This is not just a technical role – it’s about understanding how data flows through the business and ensuring processes are executed right the first time. Any inaccuracies directly impact business outcomes, so attention to detail, accountability, and a solutions-focused mindset are essential.

The company has recently migrated to Snowflake, with the previous system being fully decommissioned shortly. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across all levels to maintain, optimise, and evolve data processes, while also supporting BI reporting and insights delivery.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and maintain the organisation’s data infrastructure.
  • Design, develop, and optimise ETL processes (SSIS) and Snowflake data pipelines.
  • Support business intelligence reporting using QlikView and Snowflake Streamlit.
  • Monitor data quality, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure business needs are met.
  • Integrate data from multiple systems and third-party sources.
What you’ll bring:
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer (ideally in a sole-contributor or small-team environment).
  • Strong skills in Snowflake, SQL Server (SSIS, performance tuning), and Python or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with QlikView or other BI tools for dashboard/report creation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
  • A proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Why you’ll love this role:
  • High-visibility, business-critical position where your work directly impacts outcomes.
  • Autonomy to manage and improve processes.
  • Supportive, collaborative environment.
  • Hybrid work – 2 days onsite per week in Melbourne.
If you’re someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys solving data challenges, and wants to work in a role where quality truly matters, we’d like to hear from you.
