If you’re an experienced, switched-on Executive Assistant looking for more than the usual support role, something strategic, involved, and purpose-driven — this is the one to apply for. Our client, a respected financial services organisation with a strong sense of purpose, is seeking an Executive Assistant to the CEO
who wants to be a genuine business partner. This is not a traditional EA role, it’s one where you’ll have visibility across the organisation, play a key role in shaping initiatives, and support a CEO who values collaboration, trust and good humour. The CEO is looking for a right-hand who she can rely on, bounce ideas off, and laugh with along the way, someone who brings both professionalism and personality to the role.
About the role
You’ll work side-by-side with the CEO, providing high-level executive, operational and strategic support. This role is as much about thinking
as it is about doing,
you’ll help drive key projects, coordinate board and leadership activities, and ensure priorities across the business are executed seamlessly. You’ll play a pivotal role in connecting the dots between strategy, people and delivery, giving the CEO the space to focus on growth, leadership and stakeholder engagement, while you handle the detail behind the scenes with precision and confidence.
Key responsibilities
- Provide proactive and strategic support to the CEO, managing priorities, meetings and communications with foresight and discretion.
- Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to track progress on key business initiatives and strategic goals.
- Coordinate Board and Committee activities, including agendas, papers, minutes and follow-up actions.
- Prepare and review high-quality reports, presentations and correspondence for internal and external audiences.
- Act as a key point of contact for Directors, senior leaders and external partners, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.
- Oversee governance documentation and business records, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and well-managed.
- Support the planning and execution of key events such as Strategy Days, Board meetings, AGMs and stakeholder sessions.
About you
You’re more than an exceptional organiser, you’re commercially minded, emotionally intelligent and thrive in environments where no two days are the same. You’re confident working alongside senior executives, able to adapt quickly, and enjoy playing a key role in driving business priorities forward.
- Hands-on experience supporting C-suite executives for at least 5 years.
- A background ideally gained within financial services or professional services, where strategic thinking and commercial awareness are essential.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect the dots between operations, people and strategic outcomes.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal with a natural ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
- A proactive mindset and ability to stay calm, composed and solutions-focused under pressure.
- Discretion, warmth and a collaborative approach, someone who can balance professionalism with personality.
Why this role stands out
This is a rare opportunity to step into a role where you’ll have a seat at the table, not just supporting leadership, but actively shaping how the business operates and grows. You’ll work with a CEO who is approachable, visionary, and genuinely values her partnership with her EA. The culture is down-to-earth, inclusive and focused on making a meaningful difference. If you’re ready for a role where you’ll be trusted and truly valued, this could be the perfect next step.
