Key Responsibilities
The Financial Accountant will be tasked with the following duties:
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across multiple entities
- Support group consolidation, including inter-company reconciliations, eliminations, and loan balances
- Complete balance sheet and P&L reconciliations with high attention to detail
- Manage BAS, FBT, and Payroll Tax compliance requirements
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset management
- Prepare audit schedules and act as the primary contact for external auditors
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis
- Contribute to continuous improvements across accounting systems, controls, and reporting processes
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- CPA or CA qualified
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
- Clear communication skills for liaising with internal stakeholders and auditors
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in financial accounting, audit or within a similar environment
- Strong understanding of consolidations and inter-company transactions
- Advanced Excel capability
- Experience with D365 is highly advantageous
