The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the overseas-based Directors, the General Manager will oversee the Australian business across operations, team leadership, client management and business development.
You will lead day-to-day execution across the business while also driving process improvement, operational efficiency and scalable growth initiatives. The role requires a practical and commercially minded operator capable of making decisions independently and leading from the front.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Australian operation across team management and day-to-day execution
- Driving business development across Australia and New Zealand
- Strengthening client relationships and key account management activities
- Building scalable systems, documentation and operational processes
- Managing subcontractors, suppliers and operational stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through workflow redesign and AI-driven tools
- Supporting operational uplift and long-term business scalability
About You
The successful candidate will bring strong commercial and operational leadership experience within distribution, industrial, building products or similarly complex B2B environments.
Experience across the below environments will be highly regarded:
- Distribution or import-based businesses
- Building materials or construction products environments
- Industrial equipment or technical product businesses
- Lean operational environments requiring hands-on leadership
- Businesses operating with subcontractor or third-party service provider models
