About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and commercially astute leader to head up the New Zealand Division. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, you will be responsible for maximising the positioning of their brand and its full product portfolio across New Zealand, while optimising the financial and operational performance of the division.
This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for sales growth, market share, operational effectiveness and team performance across multiple sites and functions.

Key Responsibilities

Grow Market Share
  • Drive adherence to commercial execution processes across the New Zealand division
  • Identify and lead sales activities across key national customer accounts to grow market share and improve financial returns
  • Expand “share of wallet” opportunities with strategic customers
  • Leverage the full breadth of their product offering across targeted accounts
  • Develop and execute a five-year growth plan across all product categories and industry sectors
Optimise New Zealand Division Performance
  • Ensure all activities are delivered in a standardised, safe and effective manner aligned to financial, customer, operational and supply chain priorities
  • Improve national sales force effectiveness through enhanced customer feedback, retention and new account acquisition
  • Ensure safe operating environments and compliance with all OH&S and legislative requirements
  • Optimise inventory levels and value across the divisional warehouse network
Market Positioning
  • Ensure marketing presentations, customer documentation and digital assets accurately reflect their value proposition
  • Implement and monitor a standardised pricing process and system enhancements to maximise returns
Leadership & Management
  • Build, lead and develop a high-performing team capable of delivering operational and strategic goals
  • Act as a collaborative and active member of the Management Team
  • Support and execute the company’s strategic plan by mobilising people and resources effectively
Skills and Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience leading a national sales team or sales network
  • Strong commercial acumen with solid understanding of P&L management and profitability drivers
  • Proven track record of delivering sales growth across industrial or B2B segments
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High level of professionalism, attention to detail and commitment
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems (Microsoft / SAP preferred) and strong Microsoft Office capability
  • Knowledge of OH&S and legislative requirements
  • Packaging industry experience preferred but not essential
