A rare opportunity for an experienced operational leader to work directly alongside the CEO to build the operational infrastructure, governance capability and execution discipline required for the next phase of growth. This is not a traditional operations role. It is a highly visible leadership appointment suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and enjoys building structure, accountability and scalable systems from the ground up.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Operations will lead operational leadership, governance uplift, workflow transformation and capability development across the business.
You will partner closely with stakeholders across operations, compliance, finance, technology and people & culture, with a mandate to improve operational rhythm, accountability and execution capability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading operational capability, workflow discipline and accountability frameworks
- Supporting APRA and ASIC regulatory obligations and Line 1 governance
- Driving operational resilience, QA, remediation and incident management capability
- Overseeing workflow redesign, CRM uplift and operational transformation initiatives
- Leading and developing operational leaders and support teams
- Building scalable systems, repeatable workflows and stronger governance frameworks
- Partnering with external technology and transformation providers to ensure delivery outcomes are achieved
About You
The successful candidate will bring strong leadership experience within a regulated financial services environment, combined with sound commercial judgement and the ability to execute effectively within high-accountability settings.
Experience across the below environments will be essential:
- APRA regulated organisations
- Wealth management or platform operations
- Regulated fintech businesses
- AFSL holding entities
- Operational transformation or consulting environments with strong in-house operational leadership exposure
Key capabilities and attributes will include:
- A strong understanding of operational risk, governance and compliance obligations
- Hands-on leadership capability with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Sound operational judgement and a systems-thinking mindset
- The ability to operate effectively within ambiguity and pace
- Strong ownership, accountability and consistent follow-through
