About the Role
This is a permanent, office-based HR Manager position, reporting directly into senior leadership. This is a true generalist role with a clear focus on leading and strengthening the HR function across multiple sites.
The role is a backfill position and will suit someone who is confident stepping into an established environment with clear expectations and processes already in place, while still having the ability to refine and improve where needed.
You will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR activities, with a strong focus on policy development, award interpretation, compliance and supporting leaders across employee relations matters. The role will also require occasional travel between sites on a needs basis.
This is a fast-paced environment, so you will need to be adaptable, organised and confident managing competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end HR function across multiple sites
- Develop, review and implement HR policies, procedures and frameworks
- Provide guidance and support to leaders across employee relations matters
- Interpret and apply relevant awards, legislation and compliance requirements
- Support recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities
- Drive performance management processes and employee development initiatives
- Ensure consistency of HR practices across the business
- Support ongoing improvements within HR systems and processes
About You
- Proven experience in a standalone or senior HR generalist/HR Manager role
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and modern awards
- Experience within FMCG and/or food manufacturing environments highly regarded
- Confident in policy development, ER matters and advising senior stakeholders
- Ability to operate in a structured environment with clear expectations
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Professional, with the ability to build strong working relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries
