Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for people, safety, and continuous improvement?

We’re partnering with a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business to recruit a HR & OHS Advisor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, supporting both blue- and white-collar teams while driving initiatives that enhance employee wellbeing, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

This role offers a great mix of variety, autonomy, and impact, spanning both Human Resources and Occupational Health & Safety functions.

Key Responsibilities
HR & People Operations

  • Manage end-to-end HR administration and maintain accurate employee records
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of staff and board members
  • Develop and implement HR policies, performance management frameworks, and training programs
  • Review employment terms and ensure compliance with legislation and internal standards
  • Provide support with employee relations and grievance processes
  • Coordinate staff surveys and support capability development initiatives
Occupational Health & Safety
  • Oversee OHS compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement across the site
  • Maintain and update OHS policies, registers, and responsibilities (First Aiders, Fire Wardens, etc.)
  • Assist with facility and risk management to ensure a safe working environment
  • Support incident reporting, return-to-work coordination, and WorkSafe compliance
Additional Duties
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and support leadership with admin as needed
  • Assist with audits, internship programs, and compliance-based documentation
What We’re Looking For
  • 2–3 years' experience in combined HR and OHS roles, ideally within manufacturing or an industrial setting
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment law, safety standards, and WorkSafe processes
  • Strong track record in recruitment, performance management, training, and RTW coordination
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, organised, and confident working both independently and collaboratively
