Our client is an innovative equipment rental business located in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne with a focus on Hybrid Power, Biodiesel Generator and Light Tower hire, refuelling and maintenance. They specialise in supplying their equipment to the construction and events industries.
About the role
An exciting opportunity now exists for an up and coming Sales professional to join their ever-growing business.
Working as part of a small but friendly and fun team, in this challenging, dynamic, and fast paced role you will be trainied initially by a senior sales person whilst you learn the business and how they operate. Once you are fully prepared you would then be responsible for:
- Identifying and implementing strategic initiatives for new rental growth opportunities.
- Building and nurturing trusted relationships with new and existing clients.
- Establishing long-term customer relationships by understanding our clients’ individual needs.
- Continuously research target markets and advise accordingly of risk and opportunities.
- Working with Management team to develop and deliver strategic goals.
- Persistently pursue all business, sales leads and opportunities.
- Produce a well-documented weekly opportunities and CRM reports.
- Grow market share in sustainable sectors and provide exceptional customer support.
- Grow their presence with other HRIA members. Become more involved with industry bodies networking, creating further market awareness of the their brand.
- Support management in strategic planning and operational decisions.
- Direct marketing, website updates and social media creation and maintenance.
- Product demonstrations, training and site visits.
- Assist accounts team with contracts and ongoing terms of rentals.
- Work with Senior Technicians to improve technical understanding of rental fleet, especially around hybrid systems and syncronised generator sets.
- Maintain company vehicle, through on time servicing and presentable clean appearance.
As the ideal candidate and to make the transition as smooth as possible you will possess the following key attributes:
- A willingness to learn and take direction from a more senior sales person within the business. Ideally experience within or an interest of the infrastructure, construction and hire sectors.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and internal team.
- Competent in working with portable generators, lighting towers and sustainable power operations. Word processing, email and CRM skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and time management skills
- Full Driving License license required.
