Our Client
IAPMO Oceania is the fastest growing Certification Authority Boards (CAB) in Australia and is backed by the IAPMO network which has an impressive 99 year tenure. The team has extensive knowledge and experience in the business, certifying products in both the water and gas industry sectors, ensuring the development of both technology and future technicians alike. They certify plumbing and drainage products that use the WaterMark® symbol to meet regulatory requirements. They also offer certification services to their own IAPMOMark® and GasMark® product certification schemes meeting Australian and International Standards.
 
The Role
The Lead Certification Engineer / Team Leader will manage all aspects of the WaterMark and IAPMOMark certification process along with job distribution and general oversight of the engineering team. You will manage your own portfolio of certification work ensuring that you lead by example at all times.
 
Responsibilities

  • Ensure IAMPO Oceania’s policies and procedures, especially the service level agreements are adhered to at all times
  • Lead a technical team, managing your own portfolio of work as well as delegating tasks to the team
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, associated bodies and providing technical assistance to the industry as required
  • Review test reports, drawings and specifications to ensure compliance and national standards are met
  • Perform factory and other on-site related audits and inspections as required
  • Manage WaterMark customer queries and complaints.
  • Prepare license documentation along with providing recommendations for issue or cancellation of licenses as you see fit
 
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Business Management degree that is backed with high level plumbing experience
  • A minimum of five years work-related experience in certification or a similar field
  • The ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of internal employee’s along with external clientele and associated authorities
