Your role
- Manage a portfolio of domestic home claims from initial assessment through to resolution.
- Investigate and assess residential property damage, determining the cause, extent and scope of loss.
- Conduct property inspections and prepare detailed reports, scopes of work and repair estimates.
- Assess damage resulting from events such as storms, water ingress, fire and other insured incidents.
- Liaise with homeowners, insurers, builders, repairers and other relevant stakeholders throughout the claims process.
- Review building repair estimates, scopes of work and proposed repair methodologies.
- Monitor repair costs, progress and timeframes to ensure claims are managed effectively.
- Identify potential claim complexities and provide sound technical recommendations.
- Interpret policy wordings and consider relevant coverage issues.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders while delivering professional service and quality claim outcomes.
- Previous experience in loss adjusting, ideally across domestic home and residential property claims.
- Strong understanding of residential building construction, property damage and repair processes.
- Experience conducting property inspections and preparing detailed assessment reports.
- Good knowledge of repair scopes, building costs and estimating.
- Excellent investigative, analytical and report-writing skills.
- The ability to manage claims independently and make sound technical decisions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to managing claims and resolving issues.
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel locally for property inspections.
