As the business continues to grow, we’re looking for a Liability Loss Adjuster based in Sydney to join the team and manage a varied portfolio of liability claims.
Your new role
As a Liability Loss Adjuster, you’ll investigate and manage liability claims from initial instruction through to resolution. You’ll work closely with insurers, brokers, policyholders, legal representatives and other stakeholders to establish the facts, assess liability and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of public liability, product liability and other third-party liability claims.
- Investigating the circumstances surrounding incidents, including gathering evidence, reviewing documentation and conducting site inspections where required.
- Assessing liability, causation, quantum and potential exposure.
- Interpreting policy wordings and identifying relevant coverage considerations.
- Preparing comprehensive investigation reports with clear findings and recommendations for insurers.
- Liaising with solicitors, brokers, insured parties, claimants and other relevant stakeholders.
- Working with technical experts and legal professionals on complex or disputed matters.
- Negotiating settlements and supporting the effective resolution of claims.
- Managing competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy, communication and service.
What you’ll need to succeed
We’re looking for a confident and analytical professional who can manage claims independently, communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and approach complex investigations with attention to detail.
To be successful, you’ll ideally bring:
- Experience in liability loss adjusting OR complex liability claims management within insurance
- A sound understanding of public liability, product liability and personal injury claims, depending on your background.
- Strong investigative and analytical skills, with the ability to assess evidence, liability and quantum.
- Excellent report-writing skills and the ability to present findings clearly and objectively.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
- The confidence to liaise with legal representatives, insurers, brokers and insured parties.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
- A professional, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
