We are proud to partner with a well-established organisation in the aged care and disability services sector. This organisation is dedicated to delivering high-quality care and support to individuals living with disabilities and the elderly across regional and rural Victoria. With over 700 staff and a continuously growing People & Culture function, this is a company where your work directly impacts lives and supports a culture of care.

The Role:
We are currently seeking a motivated Payroll & People & Culture Officer to join a dynamic team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong payroll background to expand their HR skills in a values-driven and supportive environment.

About the Role:

As a Payroll & People & Culture Officer, you will work closely with the People & Culture Manager, taking ownership of end-to-end payroll processing and assisting with various generalist HR activities. Key responsibilities include:

  •  Process payroll on a fortnightly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Act as the first point of contact for payroll-related questions and provide guidance to staff.
  • Assist with HR activities including recruitment admin, employee onboarding, contract management, and maintaining employee records.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with relevant legislation and provide regular reporting.
  • Maintain and support the use of the HRIS (Zambion), ensuring data integrity.
  • Work closely with internal managers and external stakeholders to provide seamless payroll and HR services.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing (experience with Zambion HRIS is a plus but not essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage payroll queries efficiently.
  • Comfortable using Excel (for reporting, spreadsheets, and formulas).
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive, collaborative approach to work.
  • A keen interest in expanding your HR expertise in a supportive environment.
Why Apply:
  • Work with a reputable organisation that is focused on improving the lives of vulnerable individuals.
  • This role provides a unique opportunity to grow both your payroll and HR career within a stable, permanent role.
  • Join a values-driven organisation with a strong people-centric culture.
  • Attractive salary package with long-term career development potential.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take their payroll and HR career to the next level in a meaningful and rewarding environment.
