The organisation offers a collaborative and supportive environment, combining deep technical capability with a customer-first approach. Due to continued growth across the mining and heavy industry sectors, they are now looking to expand their external sales team in New South Wales.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Engineer  to develop and grow a portfolio of mining and heavy industry customers across New South Wales.
This is a field-based, solution-selling role, combining both account management and business development. You will inherit a base of established clients while also identifying and securing new opportunities across the region.
You’ll work directly with customers to understand their operational challenges and deliver tailored pump and water management solutions, supported by a strong internal technical and operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a territory growth strategy across NSW
  • Manage and grow key mining and heavy industry accounts
  • Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities
  • Build long-term client relationships focused on value and trust
  • Conduct site visits and provide technical support and guidance
  • Deliver solution-based proposals tailored to customer requirements
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to deliver engineered solutions
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting
Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in technical or industrial sales
    (pumps, hydraulics, mining equipment, fluid handling, or similar)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude or engineering background
  • Experience working with mining or heavy industry clients
  • Ability to confidently engage with customers on-site and provide technical insight
  • Demonstrated account management and business development skills
  • Strong communication and relationship-building ability
  • A self-driven, proactive approach with a focus on results
  • Full and valid driver’s licence
