About the Role
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for servicing and supporting air compressor systems across a diverse customer base throughout South Australia.
This is a challenging, fast-paced and rewarding field service role that offers autonomy, variety and exposure to critical industrial equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing of air compressors and associated equipment
- Diagnosing faults and responding to equipment breakdowns
- Mechanical repairs, troubleshooting and overhauls
- Installation and commissioning of new machines
- Providing technical advice and support to customers
- Assisting internal sales teams with technical product enquiries
- Completing service reports and maintenance documentation
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality and operational standards
- Building strong customer relationships through exceptional service delivery
About You
You are a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working independently, diagnosing complex issues and delivering outstanding customer service.
While experience with air compressors is highly desirable, we also encourage applications from technicians with backgrounds in:
- Generators
- Pumps
- HVAC systems
- Rotating equipment
- Industrial machinery
- Mining equipment
- Manufacturing equipment
- Other heavy mechanical plant
To Be Successful You Will Preferably Have:
- A Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification, such as:
- Automotive Mechanic
- Mechanical Fitter
- Fitter & Turner
- Diesel Mechanic
- Electrician
- Previous field service experience
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to complete service reports
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Flexibility to travel throughout South Australia and occasionally interstate
- A commitment to safety, quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
Highly Regarded
- Experience servicing and maintaining air compressors
- Strong understanding of compressed air systems
- Experience working within industrial, manufacturing, mining or heavy engineering environments
