Morgan Consulting are partnering with an exciting and fast-growing organisation seeking a Technical Business Analyst with retail systems experience who is looking to move into an IT Applications Management role. This is an opportunity to gain signifcant career progression within an organisation which operates with very little red-tape and has a supportive and positive culture.

About the Role:

The IT Applications Manager is responsible for the leadership and operational management of core enterprise business applications, cybersecurity, and digital technology platforms, as well as the evaluation of emerging technologies. This role ensures enterprise systems are stable, secure, and continuously improved to support organisational growth and operational efficiency. The role works closely with senior technology leadership and collaborates across infrastructure, networks, and end‑user support functions to deliver a cohesive, reliable, and customer‑focused technology environment.

What You Will Do:

Oversee key enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, financial systems, CRM, digital platforms), ensuring integrations and upgrades meet organisational and user needs.
Manage and monitor integrations between systems to support streamlined and efficient business processes.
Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, and the introduction of new capabilities.
Lead application upgrades, enhancements, and vendor relationships to ensure scalability, reliability, and alignment with organisational strategy.
Collaborate with digital, product, and marketing teams to deliver platform improvements and enhanced user experiences.
Evaluate emerging technologies and digital innovations to support modern, connected, and scalable operating models.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

Implement and oversee cybersecurity controls, policies, and incident response processes.
Monitor evolving security threats and regulatory requirements to maintain data protection, privacy, and compliance standards.
Contribute to risk assessments and resilience planning across technology platforms.

Technology Operations & Support

Work in partnership with infrastructure and operations teams to maintain high availability and performance across cloud‑based and on‑premises environments.
Provide hands‑on technical support and troubleshooting across infrastructure, networks, applications, and end‑user systems as required.
Act as an escalation point for complex incidents, root cause analysis, and strategic technical decisions.

Leadership & Vendor Management

Collaborate with a small internal technology team and manage third‑party vendors and partners to deliver projects and ongoing services.
Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
Support senior technology leadership in strategic planning, roadmap development, and prioritisation initiatives.



What You Will Bring:

Proven IT management experience, with a strong background in enterprise or multi‑system environments.
Demonstrated experience managing enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, CRM, financial systems, cloud platforms).
Practical experience in cybersecurity governance, controls, and operational execution.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms, integration architectures, and APIs.
Broad, hands‑on technical expertise spanning infrastructure, networking, applications, and end‑user technology.
Proven ability to manage vendors, service providers, and commercial agreements.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to balance strategic leadership with a pragmatic, hands‑on delivery mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
Relevant industry certifications (e.g. cloud platforms, networking, IT service management, or cybersecurity) are highly regarded.
