Default Author • Dec 28, 2017

If you're working more than 48 hours a week, as many Australians do, why stay in a job that isn't right for you? It may be worthwhile asking yourself if you are happy in your career. Does what you do every day bring you fulfilment?

If you're looking for a New Year's resolution, now might be time to reassess if you are on the right path.

Ask yourself these questions to find out if you are happy with your job.

Give yourself one mark per question answered 'yes'.

  4. I feel like I am accomplishing tasks at work
  5. I often think about my work and come up with innovative ideas even when I'm not at work
  6. I like the people I work with
  7. I feel like my opinion and my voice is heard
  8. I feel my work and my contribution is valued by my colleagues
  9. I wake up excited about what is set out for me in my day
  10. I feel like the work I do has a positive impact on the people or the world around me
  11. I am fascinated by the work I do
  12. My Mondays aren't terrible. I see it as another opportunity to kick goals.
  13. I like putting in extra effort and do it regularly
  14. I often tell people they should work with my company
  15. Sometimes the challenges set out in front of me scare me a little (this means you care!)
  16. I fall asleep feeling satisfied at the end of the day
  17. I'm excited by the room and opportunity to grow
  18. My colleagues often seek me out for my knowledge and expertise
